Low Vision is when your sight is impaired, making it difficult to carry out every day tasks with ordinary spectacles or contact lenses. This can be caused by various eye conditions.

Lunettes Opticians have been commissioned by Lincolnshire PCT to provide Low Vision Services for visually impaired poeple in Lincolnshire. The aim of the service is to provide individuals who suffer from reduced vision with a high quality service from local accessible sites.

 The service is provided FREE on the NHS and includes:

• An assessment of lifesyle and visual requirements
• An assessment of visual function
• Suitable visual aids to help improve your sight - these may include spectacle mounted, hand held or stand magnifiers
• Advice on non-optical aids that may help in everyday tasks 
• Training and advice to help maintain as much independence as possible
• Advice on benefits and welfare
• Referral to rehabiltion services for home assessment and support, and other healthcare professionals if necessary
