COVID 19 Update

As you will have seen in the news, the Government has stepped up its response to the unprecedented challenges facing us all in relation to the coronavirus epidemic.

For most of us, the symptoms of coronavirus appear to be mild.  However, it is likely that older people and those with chronic medical conditions may be vulnerable to severe disease. As more information emerges, recommendations may change.

The latest government advice can be found here.

We would like to inform you that we are remaining open unless the government advice changes. Our main priority is keeping our staff and customers safe and we want to assure you that we are following our usual strict hygiene procedures.

If you are showing any symptoms, or have been in contact with someone that has, please do not visit the practice - If you have an appointment booked, please contact us and we will be happy to re-arrange it.

Symptoms to look out for

  • recent onset of a new or continuous dry cough
  • and/or high temperature (over 37.8°C)

If you develop these symptoms, however mild, stay at home and do not leave your house for seven days from when your symptoms started. You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation. If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after seven days, contact NHS 111 online. If you have no internet access, you should call NHS 111. For a medical emergency dial 999.

We are really grateful to the healthcare workers at the frontline working to helping those affected by the virus and our hearts go out to all the people that have been affected by the events.

We hope that you stay healthy and safe and look forward to seeing you in due course.
